In an effort to draw boundaries between privacy and social media, Facebook has launched a new feature within Messenger called Vanish Mode. Similar to Snapchat, you can turn on Vanish Mode and all messages sent within this period will disappear. The uses for this are pretty obvious to a regular user – gossip or talking about private things. But for a business this could be an extra useful step, as you can talk about private order information or customer details without storing any of it. Though I’m not sure we would trust it with credit card information just yet. What do you think? Will you be using Vanish Mode?
