Looking for a late-night treat that isn’t McDonalds or pizza? Whether you’re looking for a snack to continue binging a Netflix series or just coming home from a night out, we all need a silly little treat before bed. Well, look no further as this one Toronto bakery has got your late-night cravings covered.
Located in the Yonge-Eglinton neighbourhood, Midnight Cookie serves up fresh, baked-to-order cookies and is open late until 3 am on the weekends.
Starting in the winter of 2021, Midnight Cookie started as an Instagram-based cookie delivery business, then became a ghost kitchen before eventually opening up its brick-and-mortar storefront it’s located at now.
Unlike other bakeries that make all their baked goods in the morning, Midnight Cookie bakes them once the order is received to ensure freshness and a warm delivery.
The dough is made fresh daily, going through over 120 kilos of flour a week and baking anywhere between 400 to 500 cookies a day.
These cookies are relatively flat with crispy edges and a soft center which you can buy individually or order in a box of 6, 8 or 12 cookies.
The 12 cookie flavours are constantly rotating and include classics like chocolate chip, sprinkle and double chocolate. They’re also serving up unique creations like Kinder, banana chip, toffee that they make in-house and even just the dough, which is their plain cookie batter.
Tired of the regular cake to celebrate your birthday? Why not order a cookie cake? You can choose one of five flavours, chocolate chunk, Kinder, cookies n’ creme, white chocolate sprinkles or M&M for your cookie cake. Just a note though, you have to preorder these cookie cakes at least one day before so unfortunately you can’t just walk in and order the massive cookie.
Looking for an extra sweet treat? They also make ice cream sandwiches with the different cookie flavours with gelato from Punto Gelato which you can also take home a pint of if you want to DIY your own ice cream sandwiches.
Nothing goes better with cookies than some cold milk. You’re in luck because Midnight Cookie is also serving up regular, chocolate or strawberry milk for you to dunk your cookies in.
You can find Midnight Cookie at 3 Manor Road East. They’re open Tuesday through Friday from 3 pm through 2 am, Saturday from 2 pm through 3 am and Sunday from 2 pm through 12 am.
Let us know if you’ve tried their cookies and which flavour is your favourite!
