This Toronto shop sells unique flavours of chocolate

Chocolate. A sweet treat to eat by itself or to drizzle and decorate other desserts with. Whether you like it sweet or bitter, everyone has their favourite go-to chocolate that reminds them of their childhood. There are a ton of different kinds of chocolate bars that have your usual flavours like cookies and cream or even orange but this one Toronto shop is stepping up their chocolate game with unique flavours.

Located in St. Clair West Village, Chocolat de Kat shares its space with De Mello Coffee. They’re serving up artisan chocolates that have unique flavours you wouldn’t expect to find in your average sweet.

Each bonbon is a tiny piece of edible art and a journey to flavourtown according to Chocolate de Kat. The team thinks of each flavour, carefully hand paint and fill up each bonbon with meticulous care and a ton of attention to detail.

Whether you like milk, dark, white, fruity or nutty chocolate, the shop has a flavour that will have everyone coming back for more.

There are five different flavour categories the bon bons are sorted into, dark, fruity, nutty, rich and tart. There are also seasonal flavours of the chocolates that are rotated quarterly inspired by the season including a mojito, caramel corn, cola, pumpkin spice, Aperol Spritz, and strawberry shortcake.

You’ll find unique flavours like pineapple cake, pecan pie, lemon poppy cake, key lime pie, Vietnamese coffee, birthday cake and cookie butter crunch that taste exactly like the dessert they’re named after.

Other flavours include everything bagel, avocado toast, strawberry balsamic, sesame snap, fig baklava, limoncello olive oil and drunken lychee aren’t flavours you would imagine to be in chocolate bonbons but somehow work and taste just like the food item it’s inspired by.

Chocolat de Kat also has a ton of chocolates that are inspired by drinks including flavours like dark mimosa, whiskey caramel, blood mary, Bailey’s, mint hot chocolate, chai latte, mulled wine, and champagne.

They also have a selection of chocolate bars with just as unique flavours as the bonbons including birthday cake, cream brulee, olive oil, passion poppyseed, sourdough and tea & biscuits.

If you’re looking for gift for the chocolate love in your life, this definitely is the spot since it has such unique flavours that they most likely have yet to try.

You can find Chocolat de Kat at 824 St. Clair Avenue West. If you can’t go into the store, you’re also able to order their bonbons on their website as they ship across Canada.
