This Toronto coffee shop looks like the Apple Store inside

Toronto has so many coffee shops so sometimes it’s hard to pick where you want to grab a cup of Joe. If you’re looking for a new place to try then make your way to % Arabica.

The international coffee shop brand originated in Kyoto, Japan and has over 162 stores internationally, including two here in Toronto, one at Yorkdale and one at Union Station.

The cafe is known for its minimalist and clean white interiors and bold typeface logo of a percent sign. The bright lights, floor-to-ceiling windows and layout of the shop feel as if you’re walking into the Apple Store of coffee shops.

Each cafe is differently designed and has its own unique architecture that adds to its one-of-a-kind coffee experience.

The coffee shop roasts its coffee beans in-house for its brewed drinks but the beans are also available to take home for those who would like a cup at home.

Their simple yet curated menu features espresso-based drinks, matcha drinks, and lemonade, as well as baked goods and sandwiches. Did you know their matcha is sourced from Uji, Kyoto in Japan and is high-grade and organic?

A crowd favourite is their signature Spanish Latte which uses their signature % Arabica Blend beans and is one of their sweetest coffees. All drinks are also available either cold or hot with three sizes to choose from.

Lines are always seen at either location as coffee lovers have been waiting for the brand’s arrival to the city since it was first announced back in 2021.

For those who are a fan of the coffee shop, there is also branded merch available to purchase including hand grinders, tote bags, umbrellas, filters and even scales.

Let us know if you’ve tried % Arabica and what menu items are your favourite. Also, let us know if you think the long lineup is worth the wait for a cup of Joe.
