I just got back from the Barbie movie and it was great, but there was one, small issue. When Barbie got to the real world, she never tried a single restaurant or café! Now, I understand she’s not used to food and drinks, but come on! Not even one donut? Barbie, if you’re reading this, I hereby invite you to come to Toronto and have a taste of the 6ix. Here are 3 Toronto cafés that every Barbie would enjoy.
1. Dice Fruit Bar + Café
Location & Hours
| Yorkville Lane 162 Cumberland Street Toronto, ON M5R 3N5 | Mon-Sun 9:00am-6:00pm |
Dice Fruit Bar + Café is the perfect location for a Barbie. Beautiful scenery, healthy options, and of course, lots of colour! Dice’s customizable fruit jars and smoothie bowls make for a personalized experience. No fruit jar is the same, just like Barbie! That’s not all. Dice also has a tasty, fruity smoothie called the “Pink Slip”, the perfect Barbie drink to enjoy on a hot summer day!

The “Pink Slip” is made with strawberries, blueberries, banana, dragon fruit, maple syrup and coconut milk. Not only does it taste delicious, it looks beautiful as well!
But, for those Barbies with a sweet tooth, Dice offers the cutest mini donuts! These donuts are the perfect size for a snack and there are so many flavours!
If I were Barbie, I would 100% get the birthday cake mini donut! But don’t worry, if you aren’t a fan of birthday cake, there are a total of 8 different donut flavours to choose from!

2. Alaia Café
Location & Hours
| Square One 100 City Centre Dr Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9 | Wed-Thurs 1:00pm-8:00pm Friday 1:00pm-10:00pm Saturday 12:00pm-10:00pm Sunday 12:00pm-8:00pm |
This women-led café is essentially Barbie’s dreamhouse but in real life! The entire café is bright pink with colourful, Instagram-worthy menu items that you just can’t help but try! Not only will Barbie love it for its focus on women leadership, but there are so many Barbie themed items that it will make you stuffed the moment you enter the room.

Their “Barbie Pink Drink Refresher”, made with dragonfruit, coconut milk, sparkling water and sprinkles, isn’t only visually stunning, but tastes delicious!
Now, I know we covered a lot of sweets, but don’t worry, Alaia café has got you covered! This café has a rainbow bagel, a bright and aesthetic lunch item that will surely leave you feeling satisfied.
The “Smoked Salmon Bagel” is a delicious and palette pleasing menu item that makes seafood much better to look at. It’s like a rainbow in your mouth, but healthier.

3. Superballs Café
Location & Hours
| Queen West 252 Queen St W Toronto, ON M5V 1Z8 | Wed-Thurs 1:00pm-8:00pm Friday 1:00pm-10:00pm Saturday 12:00pm-10:00pm Sunday 12:00pm-8:00pm |
Superballs Café is the last stop on our #barbietour. If you ever see a rainbow road on Queen West, follow it! If you listened to what I said, you’ll find a donut hole and ice cream shop, filled with so many customizable options that everyone is guaranteed to get the donut holes they love (beat that Timmie’s). Superballs has a retro feel the moment you walk in, just like the older barbies! But what makes this café perfect for Barbie isn’t just the menu items themselves, but the way the menu items are served.

Your superballs are served to you in a retro car! Reminds me of the Barbie convertible, don’t you think? This retro aesthetic is exactly what Barbie would love (she told me herself).
