The new social media platform Threads by Meta just came out, and if you’re like me, you’re trying to figure out what exactly this means for your business, right? Right?? Well, from what we’ve learned since its launch, Threads is becoming your old kindergarten playground, but for businesses.. & WE LOVE IT! Now there are no experts yet on Threads, but we’re going to teach you everything we know and what this means for your business.
Meta’s Threads has taken Twitter’s position as the text-based social networking platform since its launch & arguably, Threads definitely takes the cake. Threads feels like the refreshing, relaxed version of Twitter, minus the politics, arguments, and… Elon. Threads has become the app where you can post whatever you want, whenever you want, without needing to be serious or relatable.

So far, we’ve seen brands creating and interacting with content in a very lighthearted way. While this could be a honeymoon phase for now, we are enjoying every last second of it. This positive environment is the refreshing break we’ve been needing!
For your business, we recommend using this platform to be more relaxed and approachable with your audience. Threads is meant to be casual and laid back, so try to keep politics and controversial topics away from the app.
Now, even though Threads has a 500 character limit, we find that the majority of users keep their posts short & sweet. Threads is meant for a sentence or two, not a short story. We recommend keeping your stories & announcements on Twitter or Instagram Reels. No need to go in depth on Threads!
